CNO Financial Group Sr. Systems Analysis Consultant in Carmel, Indiana

CNO Financial Group’s IT Division is hiring a Sr Systems Analysis Consultant to design information system requirements that are consistent with the user needs of multiple business areas.

This is your opportunity to have technology system subject matter expertise on the multiple systems supported (typically for up to five business areas).

As a Sr Systems Analysis Consultant , your responsibilities will include:

  • Under moderate direction, prepare detailed specifications based on gathered requirements; analyze requirements and evaluates multiple options to best address software system requirements.

  • Collect and analyze information from system users to assess system scope and objectives.

  • Perform hands-on activities to develop, tune, maintain, and support nightly processing, reporting, and query capabilities to ensure a high-performing system.

  • Develop specifications, diagrams, and flowcharts to address system needs.

  • Perform troubleshooting of system issues and perform ongoing maintenance and development on the system; installs software; perform moderate to major system enhancements.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users.

  • Act as a resource to other systems analysts.

  • Provide input and subject matter expertise on respective systems in support of large projects.

  • Participate in recommending new system functionality and upgrade planning.

The Sr Systems Analysis Consultant position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Possess working knowledge of general technology concepts (i.e. applications, databases, browsers, etc.)

  • Have a moderate understanding of computing concepts and paradigms (i.e. web-based apps, integrations, networking, etc.)

  • Understand architecture standards and the ability to support those directions with solutions.

  • Can analyze and translate user needs into system requirements.

  • Possess the ability to build on the knowledge of the organization, its processes, and customers to support successful system implementations.

  • Strong customer service focus and attitude.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Are able to analyze and solve moderately complex business problems.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline; or eight years of equivalent experience in a technical role supporting applications and systems.

  • Three years of related experience as a systems analyst, business analyst, programmer, etc.

  • Insurance industry experience is a plus.

  • Microsoft Office and other business-related software.

This role is full-time work-from-home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US-based location within the central or eastern time zone. CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022 and we will be pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando, and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
