CNO Financial Group Sr. Systems Analyst in Carmel, Indiana
Under moderate direction, the Cybersecurity Services Senior Systems Analyst focuses on designing information system requirements that are consistent with the user needs of multiple business areas. This requires working closely with both technical and business focused job functions. The Senior Systems analyst has technology and security system subject matter expertise on the multiple systems supported (typically for up to five business areas).
Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Under moderate direction, prepare detailed specifications based on gathered requirements; analyze requirements and evaluates multiple options to best address security system requirements. Collects and analyzes information from system users to assess system scope and objectives. Develop specifications, diagrams and flowcharts to address system needs. Prepares and maintains technical documentation to guide system users. Acts as a resource to other systems analysts. Provides input and subject matter expertise on respective systems in support of large projects. May participate in in complex assignments under leadership and direction of more senior systems roles. Participates in recommending new system functionality and upgrade planning.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of cyber security practices and regulations. Good working knowledge of general technology concepts (i.e. applications, databases, browsers, etc.). Moderate understanding of computing concepts and paradigms (i.e. web based app, integrations, networking, etc.). Understanding of architecture standards and ability support those directions with solutioning. Ability to analyze and translate user need into system requirements. Ability to build on knowledge of the organization, its processes, and customers to support successful system implementations. Strong customer service focus and attitude. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to analyze and solve moderately complex business problems. Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other business-related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline; or equivalent experience in a technical role supporting security applications and systems. Typically has a minimum of three to five years of related experience as a security systems analyst, business analyst, programmer, etc. Insurance industry experience is a plus.
