CNO Financial Group Technology Testing & Business Consultant-Remote in Central & Eastern Time Zone in Carmel, Indiana

Worksite is hiring a Sales Technology Testing & Business Consultant to participate in and/or lead efforts of initiatives to define and document business requirements, analyze business problems or opportunities and test and validate solutions. They work closely with the other Business Partners, Product Owners, developers and various stakeholders impacted by assigned initiatives. The role collaborates with business stakeholders and leadership to lead project scoping, requirements development, use cases, process flowcharts, risk assessment and mitigation and supplemental specifications as needed to attain the desired results. This role acts as a primary liaison between technical resources and business partners for large and complex issues and projects.

As a Sales Technology Testing & Business Consultant your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and facilitate the design, analysis, recommendation, testing, and implementation of large and complex system or process changes.

  • Collaborate with leadership and business partners to drive analysis of existing processes to identify areas of improvement. Serve as a trusted advisor to numerous business partners and management across the enterprise supporting products, systems, and processes changes.

  • Create and analyze user stories, assessing the risks and impacts on current systems and processes and recommend appropriate actions.

  • Drive work with assigned business partners to identify opportunities, assess and compare information from various sources to draw conclusions, collaborate to develop alternate solutions, and take action considering constraints and probable consequences to attain optimal results.

  • Validate and monitor deliverables to ensure expected results are attained.

  • Communicate status, issues, and risks to business partners and leadership team.

  • Coordinate, train, and coach peers and business partners.

  • Support training needs based on system enhancements or implementations.

  • Collaborate with testing resources to: Create, execute, and review/validate test plans and results for large and complex projects; Oversee defect resolution; and research unexpected test results to identify root cause and ensure proper resolution.

The Sales Technology Testing & Business Consultant position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Know and understand large and complex process flows, supporting development of testing and defect processes.

  • Maintain knowledge and background in insurance products and support systems, preferably in Life/Health/Annuity lines of business.

  • Demonstrate advanced analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Work successfully with cross-functional teams.

  • Manage time effectively and demonstrate ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities.

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure understanding and usability of new functionality.

  • Communicate with all levels of leadership, including Senior Leadership to communicate status, results, and issues.

  • Identify opportunities, makes recommendations, and implements process improvements.

  • Lead, coach and train peers and business partners.

  • Facilitate retrospectives to validate quality, provide feedback to team, and improve processes.

  • Set the quality standard for delivery by enforcing product definition of ready and done (user story acceptance criteria), accept each story and features, participate in sprint reviews and integration demonstrations to showcase working software to customers.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or another related field.

  • Minimum of five to seven years of work experience in a BA, SA, and/or QA/Tester capacity.

  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office, Jira, and other business-related software working as well as working in an Agile environment practicing Scrum.

  • Considerable knowledge of the organization’s processes and customer base to support process improvements, system enhancements, and product portfolio implementations.

CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022 and we will be pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60 mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
