CNO Financial Group Training Specialist in Carmel, Indiana

CNO Financial Group Enterprise Operations is hiring a Training Specialist dedicated to the delivery of functional training designed to further the knowledge of Enterprise Operations associates.

This is your opportunity to deliver foundational level formal and informal learning experiences including but not limited to on-the-job training, cross-training, e-learning, virtual classes, and instructor led classes related to products, processes, systems, and concepts, etc.

As a Training Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop brief communication materials to support refresher topics for targeted audiences. These knowledge materials are used during learning experiences, as well as ad-hoc email or bulletin communications.

  • Set-up, configure and troubleshoot basic computer lab and virtual configurations for hands on technical training

  • Administer training assessments, analyze results to determine effectiveness of training content, as well as student gap areas

  • Develop communication around specific learning events to prepare participants for the learning experience.

  • Maintain an active knowledge of the subjects taught and stimulate enthusiasm for those subjects.

  • Recognize various participant learning styles and utilize a wide variety of facilitation methods to best meet the needs of the audience and learning situation.

  • Interact with geographically dispersed staff in a virtual environment.

  • Assess participants’ reaction to training (L1) and the effectiveness of the learning (L2).

  • Manage, maintain and report class progress to appropriate parties.

  • Oversee learning events including supervision of participants that includes evaluation, feedback, coaching and corrective measures.

The Training Specialist position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into easy to understand language across multiple audiences.

  • Possess presentation skills to successfully facilitate and conduct instructor-led, virtual training, and other informal training events.

  • Can clearly and concisely convey training content in a manner that engages learners and improves learning retention rates.

  • Hold strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment; ability to collaborate to deliver an end product.

  • Have the ability to work productively on multiple projects, while meeting tight deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • High school degree or equivalent.

  • Insurance product and system knowledge.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software applications.
