CNO Financial Group Commission Processor in Chicago, Illinois
The commission processor will perform brokerage transaction processing duties. These duties include but are not limited to: reconciling trade files. The commission processor will conduct tasks within required time frame and with accuracy, adhere to firm policies and procedures and industry and government rules and regulations, and participate in the research and resolution of operations related problems. This position will carry out relatively complex, extensive, high profile activities such as direct interaction with committees and senior management.
Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Processing and problem resolution with focus on wide scale service issues.
Processing clearing firm reconciliation of trades and direct to fund reconciliation of trades.
Processing of daily commissions receivables.
Running daily file updates to commission system.
Updating commission system payout information.
Periodic system testing.
Coordinating bi-monthly pay cycles and files.
Must have the ability to identify, analyze, and escalate complex issues.
Must demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills required to bring items quickly to a resolution.
Takes personal responsibility for identifying and anticipating customers' needs and responds by providing a high value customer experience.
Understands and adheres to departmental policies and procedures. Makes recommendations to improve processes, when appropriate.
Communicates with clearing firm, other banks, and brokerage firms in solving problems and responding to inquiries.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Familiarity with industry and government rules and regulations
Ability to calculate basic margin requirements, strong communication, organizational and analytical skills
Detail and deadline oriented
Demonstrates excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills
Ability to quickly adapt processing pace to volume levels and deadlines while meeting/exceeding quality and service standards during peak periods.
Computer literacy and technical aptitude are necessary to navigate operational systems and understand their interface.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree, in a related discipline, or equivalent
3+ years experience in Broker Dealer securities operations required
Experience with Pershing back-office systems is preferred
Series 7 license preferred
