CNO is adding an Instructional Designer to our team!
As an Instructional Designer you have a passion in building training that provides real solutions to eliminate gaps. You have an eye for great content and the communicative & technical skills to create a thoughtful learning experience that have an impact on business results. You will create educational content for Sales, Sales Leadership and Management, and operations supporting these functions to help them meet their performance and organizational objectives.
Design course plans and programs including instructor and end-user training materials (e.g. facilitator and participant materials, e-learning, job aides, etc.) that emphasize problem/case-based learning and interactive educational methodologies.
Apply instructional design principles to a wide variety of educational formats, e.g. blended learning, social media, and mobile technologies.
Ensure learning and performance objectives are appropriate to the audience and that the training materials meet the learning and performance objectives.
Work closely with Program Manager on assigned projects.
Develop recommendation for instructional and/or performance strategies based on training needs analysis.
Create custom, interactive online learning activities using scripting, animation and authoring tools and strategies
Assist with the coordination and implementation of company initiatives.
Take ownership of and periodically review (library) content to ensure that it maintains relevance and accuracy/quality of content (make sure library is current and accurate) and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Review and test new and revised curriculum offerings from other team members, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement; contributes to new curriculum or program ideas.
Partner with LMS team or software vendor to resolve any technical issues with the web-based training course or its performance within the LMS as well as supporting LMS needs as assigned
Manage field collateral materials as assigned including sales aids, presentation materials and other field support
Work closely with graphics, legal and compliance on look and feel of materials as well as manages the approval process of the materials
Stay current with the latest industry tools and trends in instructional design
Bachelor’s degree or comparable training
3 – 5 years of experience in instructional design
Skilled at developing engaging interactions using cutting edge web technologies with a strong nod to adult learning and instructional design (ADDIE, SAM) best practices.
Skilled at converting instructor-led training courses to eLearning modules.
Experience in user interface design, graphic design, developing storyboards and experience with one or more of the following:
Strong ability to apply training theories and principles, including applied behavioral science, adult learning theory, and/or established industry models of evaluation
Works closely with team members in establishing training outcome measurements
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong relationship building skills to work within the department, with the field and with members of other departments
Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively
Applies analytical, methodical approach to work that demonstrates problem-solving skills, attention to detail and strong focus on quality assurance.
Skilled at working productively on multiple projects, while meeting tight deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail yet also able to see overall picture
Clearly and concisely conveys training content in a manner that engages learners and improves learning retention rates in multiple learning modes.
Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
