CNO Financial Group Sr. Consumer Insight Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

The Sr. Consumer Insight Analyst, plays a critical role in collecting, analyzing, and providing industry, competitor, and consumer insights to stakeholders throughout CNO. This person will be responsible for managing all aspects of qualitative and quantitative research projects to infuse market intelligence into day-to-day and strategic decision making.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Design and implement research methodologies.

  • Analyze research data and produce insightful, in-depth dashboards, reports, and presentations to highlight the most impactful trends

  • Draw insights from secondary competitor, product, consumer, and industry research to help internal clients make smart business decisions

  • Socialize, run, analyze, and report quarterly customer panel surveys and semi-annual customer satisfaction and NPS surveys (via the Qualtrics platform)

  • Grow relationships with industry peers and contacts with consulting and research firms

  • Coordinate monthly industry survey responses

  • Apply strategic frameworks to identify CNO growth opportunities

  • Proactively collaborate across departments to incorporate consumer and industry perspectives into product and marketing project ideation

  • Maintain the CNO research calendar with input from departments across CNO

  • Manage ad hoc strategic projects

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Proficient skills in Qualtrics, Microsoft Excel and Tableau

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, critical thinking skills

  • Highly proficient skillset writing and visual communication (including PowerPoint)

  • Ability to work across stakeholder groups and different levels within the organization from subject matter experts to senior level management

  • Skills to interpret data and make recommendations to meet the business need and articulate analytics in a manner that is understandable to senior level management

  • Strong project management skills a plus

  • Knowledge of strategic frameworks a plus

Education and Experience:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or equivalent

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, market research, finance, strategic planning, consulting, or similar
