CNO Financial Group Sr. Life Underwriter- REMOTE from any US based location in central or eastern time zones in Chicago, Illinois
CNO Financial Group is hiring a Sr. Life Underwriter to be responsible for accurate and timely risk assessment and evaluation of life applications, renewals or cancellations utilizing the underwriting policy, guidelines, insurance laws and regulations.

As a Sr. Life Underwriter, your responsibilities will include:
Oversee caseload to achieve desired objectives
Contribute to the building and maintaining of strong relationships within the organization
Responsible for the risk decision of new and existing business of all life policies within delegated authority levels and company guidelines
Maintain an awareness of changing practices and regulations
Serve as a SME to provide input on department procedures or practices
Serve as a mentor to less experienced underwriters
The Sr. Life Underwriter position is well-suited for you if you have:
Thorough knowledge of life and health products
Proficiency in underwriting all life and health products
Thorough knowledge of regulatory and policy differences among states in which business is transacted
Actively working toward profession designations
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree or eight years of work experience as equivalent
Three years of direct life experience and/or health underwriting experience
Three experience in a production oriented environment
This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and are encouraged to come into the office at least twice per month.
