CNO Financial Group Instructional Designer in Miami, Florida
CNO Financial Group is hiring an Instructional Designer to create educational content for Enterprise Operations to help them meet their performance and organizational objectives.
This is your opportunity to apply instructional design principles to a wide variety of educational formats, e.g. blended learning, social media, and mobile technologies.
As an Instructional Designer, your responsibilities will include:
Designs course plans and programs including instructor and end-user training materials (e.g. facilitator and participant materials, e-learning, job aides, etc.) that emphasize problem/case-based learning and interactive educational methodologies.
Ensures learning and performance objectives are appropriate to the audience and that the training materials meet the learning and performance objectives.
Develops recommendation for instructional and/or performance strategies based on training needs analysis.
Creates custom, interactive online learning activities using scripting, animation and authoring tools and strategies.
Assists with the coordination and implementation of company initiatives.
Takes ownership of and periodically review (library) content to ensure that it maintains relevance and accuracy/quality of content (make sure library is current and accurate) and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Reviews and tests new and revised curriculum offerings from other team members, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement; contributes to new curriculum or program ideas.
Stays current with the latest industry tools and trends in instructional design.
The Instructional Designer position is well-suited for you if you:
Apply training theories and principles, including applied behavioral science, adult learning theory, and/or established industry models of evaluation.

Strong project management skills and attention to detail yet also able to see overall picture.
Clearly and concisely convey training content in a manner that engages learners and improves learning retention rates in multiple learning modes.
Are skilled at developing engaging interactions using adult learning and instructional design (ADDIE, SAAM) best practices; as well as converting instructor-led training courses to eLearning modules.
Have experience in user interface design, graphic design, developing storyboards and experience with one or more of the following:
Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor's degree, in a related discipline, or equivalent.
Minimum of three to five years of instructional design experience.
Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
