Salary Range : $63,700 - $95,500 Annual

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

Optavise, a CNO Financial Group Company is seeking a Field Development Specialist that collaborates with members of the Optavise Field Development team, Optavise Career Agency (OCA), and other CNO Business Units to design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures. This role works closely with management and leadership within Field Development to prepare and deliver both virtual and in-person training sessions, while also continuously creating e-learning content. Additionally, the Specialist will work across the organization to evaluate the current and future learning and development needs and assess the effectiveness of existing programs.

As a Optavise Field Development Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver sales training and learning and development content, including in-person classroom instruction, live virtual training, and in-market field demonstration for OCA Field Agents.

  • Facilitate delivery of sales training and learning and development content, including in-person classroom instruction, live virtual training, and in-market field demonstration for OCA Field Agents.

  • Facilitate Onboarding Training for OCA agents and Washington National Independent Partners (WNIP).

  • Assist with design and implementation of various learning and development initiatives using proven content sources, best practices in training design, and diverse delivery methods to address skills and development for agents and managers within OCA.

  • Build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders to understand business goals, identify development needs and solutions, and ensure initiatives are aligned.

  • Measure ongoing effectiveness of programs against key business objectives, including learning approach, program content, and relevant KPIs.

  • Research and implement new assessment and feedback tools to provide stronger development insights and a feedback loop for learners.

The Optavise Field Development Specialist position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Manage multiple competing priorities effectively.

  • Deliver successful learning and development programs.

  • Exhibit strong program/project management skills, specifically related to sales and sales management programs.

  • Collaborate and contribute to the overall mission of the team, working across strategy and development areas to deliver results in a non-hierarchical environment.

  • Meet deadlines and excel in a complex, fast-paced, multi-team environment with rapidly evolving business demands.

  • Travel domestically approximately 10%.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in general studies or equivalent 8 years of experience.

  • 2 years’ experience facilitating adult learning and development, preferably in a virtual classroom; comfort communicating and delivering presentations; ability to interact in a fast-paced environment in a polished and professional manner; experience with developing performance improvement strategies.

What will set you apart:

  • Master’s Degree in the field of education, Business, Organizational Development or equivalent 12 years of experience.

  • 5 years’ experience facilitating adult learning and development, preferably in a virtual classroom; Worksite/Voluntary benefits product and underwriting knowledge.

  • Professional learning organization affiliation or designation desired.

  • Possess experience in the Insurance industry is a plus.
