We are seeking a Lead AI Architect with deep application development expertise to envisage and direct the development of AI experimentation and solutions that will drive business process transformation. This challenging role will lead technology POCs and vendor comparisons, while also guiding our agile development team on custom-built AI solutions for our business stakeholders. As a Lead AI Architect, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient AI solutions that meet the business needs and align with the enterprise architecture principles and standards

  • Evaluating and comparing various AI technologies, frameworks, and platforms, such as cloud-based AI services, machine learning libraries, natural language processing tools, computer vision systems, etc.

  • Leading the creation and maintenance of architectural artifacts

  • Collaborating with other architects, data scientists, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure the quality and consistency of AI solutions across the enterprise

  • Providing technical guidance, oversight, and mentorship to team members and developers

  • Partnering with development leads to create and promote best practices and standards for AI development and deployment

  • Monitoring and measuring the performance, availability, and reliability of AI solutions, and identifying and resolving any issues or risks

  • Researching and exploring new and emerging AI trends and innovations, and assessing their applicability and feasibility for CNO experimentation

  • Developing and presenting business cases, roadmaps, and architectures for AI initiatives, and communicating the value and impact of AI solutions to senior management and stakeholders

  • Partnering with the AI Program Manager and Infrastructure Architects to design and monitor cost-effective cloud and AI solutions and ensure the delivery of AI solutions within scope, time, and cost constraints

The Lead AI Architect position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Enjoy rapid prototyping and development to prove out technology capabilities and use cases

  • Have deep experience designing and developing full-stack web applications and implementing solutions on cloud-based infrastructures

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of AI concepts, technologies, and best practices, and the ability to apply them to solve business problems

  • Possess excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to explain complex AI concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Are passionate about technology and innovation, keeping up with the latest trends and vendors

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field of study

  • Ten or more years of related work experience across several roles including architect, technical lead, system analyst, programmer, or business analyst

  • Architecture and development experience in API integration technologies; Python development proficiency

  • Prior experience working in large offshore delivery models

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Azure, including designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based applications and services, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.

  • Expert level depth of knowledge in at least one architecture domain (i.e. application, data, infrastructure)

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Cloud computing, cloud-native architectures, and cloud services experience

  • Data engineering, data analytics, and data science experience and prior experience collaborating with data science teams

  • Experience leading other architects and/or technical team members

  • Insurance industry experience
