Salary Range : $87,400 - $131,000 Annual

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.
CNO Financial Group is hiring an Audit Manager to coordinate, review, and refinement of the CNO controls. As an Audit Manager, you will function as the liaison between actuarial and internal auditors, external auditors, regulators, and other key stakeholders to coordinate control, audit, and regulatory deliverables.
This is your opportunity to assist in model governance and AI governance initiatives to inventory and audit current processes.
As an Audit Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Coordinate, review, complete, and consolidate SOX controls across various valuation reporting cycles.
Coordinate deliverables between actuarial and internal auditors, external auditors, regulators, and other key stakeholders for control, audit, and regulatory requests.
Analyze controls and identify areas of improvement. Interpret internal or external issues and recommend solutions and/or best practices.
Identify and standardize control processes to improve consistency and review.
Communicate internal and external SOX testing results and inform of any weaknesses or deficiencies and facilitate the remediation of any such deficiencies or weaknesses.
Align the valuation control processes with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and Model Audit Rule (MAR) regulation and work to be a subject matter expert over controls best practices.
Represent interests regarding mandates and other similar control and governance company initiatives.
The Audit Manager position is well suited for you if you:
Are self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills with emphasis on clear and concise requests.
Possess solid foundation and understanding of general accounting and/or actuarial principles.
Have subject matter expertise on audit practices and principles including internal SOX and MAR controls and compliance measures.
Understand processes, risks, and associated controls to recommend improvements.
Have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and projects.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Five years of related work experience, particularly in audit.
Commercial awareness, including the knowledge of the latest developments in the industry.
What will set you apart:
CPA (Certified Public Accountant).
Insurance and/or actuarial audit experience.

Associates who live outside of a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Orlando and Milwaukee) may perform this role full-time work from home (WFH) from any US based location, as long as you are willing to work central or eastern time zone hours.
All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
