Salary Range : $165,300 - $247,900 Annual

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

Optavise, a CNO Financial Group Company, is seeking a Senior Director Worksite Strategy to oversee the portfolio of projects and programs that support the strategic objectives of Optavise (our brand for the Worksite division in the marketplace). This role will lead a team of product owners that are tasked with setting the direction of Optavise products (advocacy, ben admin, education, communications), the voluntary benefits agent experience, and customer experience. They will deliver on that direction by collaborating with Optavise teams and CNO shared services. Additionally, this role will oversee a team of program managers that ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of large programs.

The Senior Director, Worksite Strategy will partner closely with senior management, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment, prioritization, and delivery of the portfolio while monitoring and reporting on the portfolio performance, risks, and benefits realization.

As a Senior Director Worksite Strategy, your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain the portfolio management framework, processes, and tools for Optavise.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the portfolio governance and decision-making processes.

  • Assess and prioritize the portfolio of projects and programs based on strategic alignment, value, and resource availability.

  • Manage portfolio dependencies, interdependencies, and conflicts across projects and programs.

  • Track and report on the portfolio status, progress, performance, risks, issues, and benefits realization.

  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching to project managers and teams on portfolio management best practices.

  • Identify and implement portfolio improvement opportunities and lessons learned.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with senior management, project managers, and stakeholders.

  • Provide strategic consulting and advice to senior management on portfolio direction, alignment, and optimization.

  • Directly manage a team of Product Owners who are responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.

  • Ensure that the portfolio is aligned with the agile principles and practices of Optavise and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The Senior Director Worksite Strategy position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Apply strong knowledge and skills in portfolio management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

  • Utilize understanding and experience in agile methodologies, frameworks, and tools.

  • Manage and lead direct and indirect reports effectively.

  • Exhibit excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Maintain a highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management or related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 10+ years of related experience in strategic portfolio management, product development, and product ownership.

What will set you apart:

  • Masters Degree/MBA in Business, Management or related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Professional certification in portfolio, program, or project management (PfMP, PgMP, PMP, etc.)

  • Scaled Agile experience.

  • Experience with Worksite/Employee benefits industry.

Associates who live outside of a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Orlando and Milwaukee) may perform this role full-time work from home (WFH) from any US based location, as long as you are willing to work central or eastern time zone hours.

All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically.
