CNO Financial Group Sr Financial Reporting Analyst in Carmel, Indiana

Salary Range : $77,100 - $115,700 Annual

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group’s Accounting and Finance Department is hiring a Sr Financial Reporting Analyst to assist with the maintenance of the books and records to support the accounting for several nonlife legal entities, including CNO Services, LLC.

This is your opportunity to prepare calculations related to equity-based compensation, weighted average shares outstanding, per share data and other GAAP and non-GAAP financial measures, including book value per diluted share, debt to capital ratios and operating ROE measures.

As a Sr Financial Reporting Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the preparation of periodic GAAP financial statements for the consolidated entity, including the balance sheet, income statement, roll forward of shareholders' equity and cash flows (each with appropriate eliminations for intercompany transactions).

  • Prepares journal entities, elimination entries and reconciliations with support that provides adequate audit evidence.

  • Provides documentation and analysis that supports the needs of the Manager. Identifies potential issues for review with the Manager.

  • Assists in providing commentary to explain significant fluctuations between actual results for the current and prior year for several nonlife entities.

  • Prepares financial information for the renewal of TPA licenses in several states.

  • Prepares budget and forecast information related to equity-based compensation.

  • Prepares 10-Q/10-K disclosures related to equity-based compensation and per share information. Also, prepares Parent-Company only financial statements for the 10-K.

  • Reviews and provides equity-based compensation information for executive management to the legal department in connection with the preparation of the proxy statement. The calculation of such amounts is determined by SEC rules which, in some instances, differ from GAAP.

  • Helps accumulate accounting and financial information.

  • Contributes to the maintenance of a strong internal control environment meeting SOX objectives.

The Sr Financial Reporting Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

  • Three years of experience in a Financial Reporting Analyst position.

  • Professional experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

What will set you apart:

  • CPA or in progress strongly preferred.

  • Prior Insurance Accounting experience highly preferred but not required.

  • HFM (Hyperion) System working experience.

Pay Range: $77,100.00 - $115,700.00 Annual
