Salary Range : $105,700 - $158,500 Annual

The stated pay range is based on a national average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills, and location. This position is bonus-eligible.

CNO Financial Group’s IT Team is hiring a Sr. Infrastructure Architect, Networking to independently define technology roadmaps that detail the implementation of initiatives to enhance a secure and scalable Infrastructure environment. This individual will develop plans for the ongoing support and governance of previously implemented initiatives that are highly technical and complex.

This is your opportunity to lead projects in the Networking space and be accountable for ongoing activities, objectives, and enterprise-wide initiatives that have a high impact.

As a Sr. Infrastructure Architect, Networking , your responsibilities will include:

  • Being responsible for multiple network and related technologies and solutions including but not limited to switching, routing, VPN, firewalls, and load balancing at CNO’s corporate headquarters as well as field offices throughout the country.

  • Developing roadmaps for the evolution of the infrastructure from the current to the future state.

  • Collaborating and managing third-party vendors and the Managed Services team to develop and implement technology-enabled roadmaps.

  • Identifying, analyzing, and recommending various technologies for approval based on an understanding of current business requirements.

  • Facilitating improved delivery of proposed solutions by identification and documentation of technical and architecture technology requirements to be executed by our third-party partner in a timely, cost-effective, and integrated fashion.

  • Solving implementation challenges while encouraging adherence to architectural standards.

  • Analyzing industry and market trends and determining their potential benefit to the enterprise.

  • Documenting all architecture design and analysis work.

  • Collaborating with peer architects, business partners, software engineers, and leadership to advance business outcomes and architectural concerns.

  • Training and acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

The Sr. Infrastructure Architect, Networking position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Have experience in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of complex networks.

  • Can translate business needs into solution architecture requirements

  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills

  • Work well with minimal supervision and can prioritize and focus among many different projects.

  • Have strong interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork and facilitation

What you’ll need:

  • Typically, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, or related computing major required, or equivalent experience.

  • Typically, a minimum of five years of experience designing and implementing infrastructure solutions.

  • Demonstrated experience with Cisco ACI.

  • Proficiency in:

  • Routing and switching technologies including but not limited to: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VRF-Lite, MPLS.

  • Switching and routing products including Cisco NX OS, Cisco CAT OS and Cisco IOS software.

  • Security products including F5, Palo Alto FW, and Fortinet FW

  • Azure (IaaS networking) and similar cloud connectivity solutions.

  • SD-WAN technologies.

  • Network monitoring tools: Spectrum, Splunk, SolarWinds.

What will set you apart:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, or related computing major preferred.

  • Experience collaborating with offshore or managed service providers to enhance operational efficiency and ensure seamless project delivery,

  • Related industry certifications highly preferred (CCIE, CCNP Security, etc.).
