Salary Range : $65,700 - $98,500 Annual

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

Optavise a CNO Financial Group is hiring a Supervisor, Billing Operations responsible for managing the billing operations of the Worksite Benefit Services Business, overseeing the entire billing process from invoicing to collections. This includes ensuring the accurate and timely issuance of invoices, managing billing staff, resolving any billing issues, and analyzing uncollectible reserves and write offs. The job will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining billing systems and policies to optimize the billing process.

As a Supervisor, Billing Operations, your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the billing department.

  • Ensure all invoices are generated and sent out in a timely manner.

  • Monitor the accuracy of billing information.

  • Ensure invoices align with contractual obligations and terms agreed upon with clients.

  • Supervise and provide guidance to billing staff.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide training as needed.

  • Ensure the team meets performance standards and goals.

  • Address and resolve any billing inquiries or disputes from customers.

  • Monitor collection efforts to recover overdue payments.

  • Maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication.

  • Prepare and analyze billing reports for upper management.

  • Oversee the integration of billing records into the accounting system.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

  • Implement and maintain billing software and systems.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Ensure all billing activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits.

The Supervisor, Billing Operations position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Utilize proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.

  • Maintain attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of equivalent experience.

  • 5 years of experience as a Billing Supervisor or overseeing a Billing Department.

What will set you apart:

  • Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred OR willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours

  • Certified Billing Specialist (CBS)

  • 6 – 8 years of experience as a Billing Supervisor or overseeing a Billing Department.

Associates who live outside of a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Orlando and Milwaukee) may perform this role full-time work from home (WFH) from any US based location, as long as you are willing to work central or eastern time zone hours.

All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
