The stated pay range is based on a national average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills, and location. This position is bonus-eligible.

CNO Financial Group’s IT team is looking for an End User Technology Engineer who will be responsible for the effective delivery and operations of technologies that impact our end-user community. This includes ensuring service levels are met for a seamless user experience on the desktop. This job will leverage digital workplace technologies and their subsequent deployment and configuration. Additionally, this job will identify, implement, and support solutions that enhance the end-user experience and increase service levels, delivering technology happiness as a result.

As an End User Technology Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing technical information and ticket data to identify patterns and chronic issues and address them using advanced tools.

  • Collaborating with engineers and architects to implement changes in infrastructure processes to improve service levels and technology happiness.

  • Identifying and engineering hardware and software technologies that enhance the end-user experience.

  • Managing the client lifecycle management process, including onboarding and offboarding, to ensure a high user experience.

  • Providing high-quality documentation and troubleshooting guidelines for support personnel in their technology domains.

  • Assessing and reviewing implementations to ensure conformance with process and technical standards.

  • Driving IT initiatives to improve services within assigned technology or business units.

  • Coaching and training support personnel to effectively resolve end-user issues and investigate root causes.

  • Assisting with implementation challenges while ensuring adherence to architectural and infrastructure standards.

  • Collaborating with business partners, suppliers, and IT teams to meet objectives and provide effective services.

  • Providing infrastructure guidelines and design patterns for leverage by others in their technology expertise domain.

  • Delivering exceptional customer service through effective technology solutions.

  • Working independently on assignments of complexity and coordination.

  • Performing tier 3 and above support duties.

The End User Technology Engineer position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems, networks, and peripherals.

  • Possess strong troubleshooting abilities to resolve complex technical issues for end users.

  • Are familiar with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), mobile platforms (Android, iOS), and productivity tools for troubleshooting and enabling high performance.

  • Have knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and directory services for managing user access controls.

  • Have knowledge of ITIL processes, especially those related to End User Computing.

  • Are familiar with best practices in endpoint security designs and configurations.

What you’ll need:

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, or related field, OR 4 years of relevant experience, as an equivalent.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a related technical IT role

  • Willingness to work onsite in our Chicago, IL location is required. Travel between corporate locations may be required.

What will set you apart:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field

  • Certifications/Licenses: A+ Certified and MCSE Certified

  • Experience configuring and deploying client virtualization technologies (VDI) is preferred.

  • Experience with deploying and programming infrastructure-related client management tools such as InTune/SCCM, BigFix, and PowerShell is preferred.

This role is affiliated to the Chicago, IL corporate office, and candidates for this role need to reside within a 60-mile radius of that corporate office and will be required to come into that office.
